Many things you can do while drinking tea, browsing a magazine for one or the internet to name a few. I also love to make things while having tea such as crochet or knitting especially when the weather is wet and gloomy like today, so as i was browsing for ideas, i found this free crochet pattern to make a cute instagram camera from Haakensmaak. I decided to try and make my own :)

for someone who loves taking pics, Instagram is a great invention and I used to envy my friends who got iphone as it was an app exclusively made for iphone users (as i cant afford buying one!) but i'm so happy when after awhile it can be used by android users too! Still...as my android phone is a cheap one and the camera is not that great, i'll have to make do for now til' i can afford a nicer one but i'm still grateful though!

Anyways, I wanted to try and make a smaller version for this crochet instagram camera as it's abit big if i use it as my digicam casing cover, I think i need to use a smaller crochet hook for next time and try to mind the tensions as i can see some stitches are tighter than the other and it's kinda crooked but overall at least now i know roughly how to make one :)

Back for Awhile

Hello Everyone! sorry for a long absence due to No Laptop condition, hubby couldn't fix it fast enough as he and his colleague who said that he could try and help fix the laptop were also busy at work and when they did, it's not totally fixed. The good news is the laptop is up and running again, the bad news is they said the monitor is failing so if I use it longer than an hour, the screen started to go weird and there are lines came up filling up the screen and that's the sign i have to switch it off to cool it off :(

But anyways, we know it's an old laptop and we need to buy a new one sooner or later but not at the moment as money is tight and i have other probs that are more important to think about but I hope everyone is doing fine and gosh! I miss blogging and most of all, reading all of you lovely ladies' blog posts! I know i got a lot to catch up but bear with me with this ol' broken laptop of mine, i'll visit your blogs as best as i can.

If there's any consolation, i'm grateful to my android phone, i can still twittering, facebooking and chat on the phone though it's limited of course. I guess it's a training for me who used to cant live without internet! and my going back for a holiday to my country Indonesia is drawing near too, if everything goes smoothly i'll be flying there on end of june and will be spending my time with my family for about two months! I do hope i can stay away from the computer that long coz i dont think i'll have the chance to go online once i'm there but i hope i could! (already envision myself fighting over one computer with 4 nieces and nephews) :)

I need to go off now but I'll be back blog hopping tomorrow morning as it's abit late now, i will also try to blog about things i made on my absence in the blog world. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

My 1st Crocheted Cushion Cover

I've been trying to make crocheted granny squares since about 2 weeks ago for the purpose of making a cushion cover out of them, i'm glad it's finished though it's not perfect as i still need to learn on my tension so the square is tight and not loose, but i'm happy with the result :P

I made about 50 little granny squares and it turned out not enough and so I improvised by doing treble crochet at the back to join the piece and added buttons, I use envelope style cushion coz it's easier to put the cushion inside the cover :)

I always have problem joining the squares and need to learn more on how to do it correctly but i still love the result :)

I must say I deserve a cup of tea :P

Been Sick...

I've been away too long from the blogland and i miss it terribly! I've been down with a cold and asthma attack since last week plus high fever that forced me to stay in bed for 3 days and other probs that made me feel sorry for myself but enough of that, i just wanted to write a quick update to let you know what happened and also a BIG Thank you for the lovely ladies who are so kind as to email me and concern about me, you know who you are! so Thank you xx

Just a quick crochet project i made last night and OH! i will be doing a post for the Afternoon Tea Swap over at Pretty Little Jewel tomorrow, perfect for Tea Time Tuesday (truth is I havent taken pics of the parcel she sent me) :p

unfortunately, no flowers and/or a box of chocolates for me this valentine as i was shocked to see the price of a dozen of roses when we went to sainsburys last night though hubby offered but i told him I'd rather he bought me a book of craft that costs the same as those roses :) and as for chocolate, well you know i'm on a diet though i'm beginning to get abit pessimistic :p

I spent hours this morning to make this velvet valentine cake and i failed miserably! it tastes weird, it looks weird and blah! I got the recipe Here. I made it for hubby but i feel like throwing it into the bin :P

I also made these mug cosy for hubby and me from the tutorial in Mollie Makes Magazines, Cappuccino for him and tea for me.

I also made the puffy crocheted heart from the tutorial Here, I made several to hang on the twigs on my mantel and cute valentine printables from Here.

Unfinished Project

I have alot of unfinished projects that I kept putting aside and do other things that are more fast and easy to make, maybe because i'm not a very patient person and sometimes i'm also easily bored :p

One of the project that i've put aside for many months is this crocheted hexagonal blanket. When i first saw it over Attic24, I was so excited and was in love, I think i started making it early last year til summer came and i put it off doing other things and then got put off again and again for christmas and other things so it's not even half way done :(

there were times that i was running out of wool and had to dash out to the nearest haberdashery or charity shops to buy some, it's also one of the reasons why i put off doing it, it uses alot of wool :)

I was planning to make it as big as my duvet cover but well right now i don't know if i ever gonna finish it..who knows..

Things I Love..

When i bought the Jug from Cath Kidston when it was on SALE, i knew what I was going to put inside it, I've been making crochet flowers whenever I have time in the evening while watching tv and when the jug arrived, the flowers are ready. I also bought some fabrics from CK as I couldn't help when they're reduced to £6 per metre instead of £20 per metre the original price! I'm so ready to make something out of the fabrics when I have the time :p

I kind of love Blue color nowadays, well my love for red and pink will always be there in every photo i took but right now i'm smitten with blue :)

I went to Chichester to a friend's house yesterday as she invited me and 2 other friends to have lunch, she cooked indonesian food for us and made a meringue cake that tastes heavenly! She always gave us what she bakes, Bless her!

I've started my diet but well it was ruined yesterday (can't help it!) but i'll try to do more exercise today to make up for it hehe I just can't say NO to delicious food!

PS: I didn't realize that i'm almost have 200 followers, I think I'll be having a giveaway pretty soon :)

Goodbye January, Hello February

Time sure flies! I promised myself to go on a diet in February and so i'd better get ready! a good news came from my dear sister who lives in Netherlands, she said she's going to buy me an airplane ticket to my hometown for summer holiday, i'm soo in tears when she said that she wants me to join her for our family reunion in Jakarta in July. It's been 4 years now i live in England, I got homesick alot and sometimes when we talk on Skype, my sister always there to help me go through it as hubby is still can't afford to pay me to go and visit my family, we can't even afford to go anywhere each summer! anyways Thank you sis, love you loads!

I also wanted to thank you lovely ladies for the get well wishes for my father in law in previous post, he's now back home and recovering well, we'll be doing grocery shopping for them later as MIL can't leave him yet alone at home.

I made these mary go round crochet flower rings,they're so fast and easy to make and very addictive too! Thanks to the tutorial from Lola Nova.

I like a quick to make lunch coz i tend to get very lazy to just cook for myself so instant noodle is my fave lunch meal :)

This is abit tricky as my camera isn't that good to capture lights and i don't like taking pics at night even though you can tweak it with photo editor but still..

This is abit silly coz i dont find the inside of my fridge is interesting but oh well...

Hehe, i actually was trying to make a hair bun out of an old sock and they call it sock bun hair but it looks weird on me, poor hubby for losing a pair of his old socks for my hair!
