Storrington's Tea Rooms

A visit to a village called Storrington was lovely, it's about 30 mins drive from where I live, The weather seems agreable and we could do with a bit of exercise by walking around the village town. Lovely shops from antique shop, craft and of course tea rooms, my favorite!

I saw there are two Tea Rooms in the village, I was confused which one to choose to have our tea, hubby decided to choose for me, we had our tea in the tea room at the end of the street, closer to where we parked our car.

We did however went in to take a peek of the first tea room, it's so beautiful coz it's also a tea shop selling teacups and plates and even shabby chic decorations, lovely place but abit expensive when i look into the price tags :) but I want to come here again and have tea in the other tea room :)

I hope everyone has a great and blessed Weekend!

Tea for Two

I woke up this morning feeling crappy, I have been awaken most of the night to blow my nose or feeling cramp on my neck and arms, my husband (bless him) made me chicken and sweet corn soup which was helping and I felt abit fine at midday,He then told me that I probably need to drink a cup of tea, loads of cup of tea and asked me if I wanted to drink tea in a tearoom and of course I jumped and said, YES! (i forgot i was ill at that moment :)

About a week ago, my mother in law told me that she just came back from meeting her church friends in a cafe downtown, she knows I'm crazy for tea and lovely teacups/teapots and told me that the cafe has a nice collection that I might love going there to have tea, I told her that I havent any luck finding a tea room downtown but apparently this cafe comes a tea room so I was excited and true enough, I saw lots of cute teacups/teapots and served with lovely teacups and teapot with a slice of Victoria Sponge Cake, I feel so much better already!

My hubby kept pouring me cup after cup after cup of tea, I think i'd probably had more than 5 cups while he had only 3 cups. The Cafe is called "Green Cuisine", i love the cake and wanting to make one over the weekend, we had a nice relaxing tea and talk for about an hour and hubby drove us home and asked me to lie down on the sofa and covered me with a throw so I feel warmer, I'm blessed to have him as a husband, I'm happy though i'm sick and I will get better soon!

Thank you for a treat!

Tea Time in Steyning

Steyning is a little village about less than an hour drive from where I live, it's a beautiful quiet little village with lots of lovely cottages and small shops that aren't open on Sundays (now I know), I'm so glad though that the Tea room was open and hubby and I had a nice pot of tea and cakes as well as sandwiches in the Old Bakery Tea Room.

It looks like an ordinary shop from the road side but when I went in the door, poor hubby had to duck down as he's so tall and it leads to a place that I can only describe as hobbits' village coz they have some small shops inside and truly for me it's like finding a treasure and the tea room is just inside with low roof and cute chairs as well, too bad the shops were closed but I'm planning to go there again not on sunday :)

I really love visiting Tea rooms, it's my new obsession since I moved to England 3 years ago, although I haven't been to alot of places often as my husband is quite busy with his work, I do love it when he has time to take me to places that I love to just please me, it's not his sort of thing to go to tearooms so I'm grateful for that :)

After we had tea, we walked around the village, visited the old graves yard in St. Andrew's church and also took some more pictures before we decided to go home. I can't wait to come back again to a quiet sleepy little village of Steyning :)
