The Joy Of Christmas

I have things i wanted to do but never get around of doing it this christmas but there's always next year hopefully :) I'm sure everyone else is also super busy right now that Christmas is 5 days away (time sure flies) but anyways I finally finished making my stocking on Sunday or rather ice skates from Tilda's Christmas Ideas book, i even made one for hubby :)

I even got time to make christmas decorations from a free kit that i got from Cross Stitcher magazine christmas issue, three cute little houses and of course another snowman :)

Yesterday I decided to bake some gingerbread cookies while listening to Elvis Christmas CD that I got from Sunday Mail, I just love the smell of cookies fresh from the oven and can't help having them even before i decorated them with icing sugar, it warms up the house and it's a lovely company for my tea.

I'm going to bake a Yule log perhaps on Friday or Saturday but right now i need to make a shopping list for Christmas Menu as we're going shopping to Sainsburys today.

Wishing everyone a lovely and full of Joy Christmas!

Not yet ready for Christmas

..but i sure wanted to get started making things for christmas right away! I ordered this book a few days ago via Amazon and it arrived today! I love all of Tilda's fabrics and i sure need some inspiration on what to make for christmas so when hubby ordered his cartridges for the printer, I told him to add this book to the shopping cart too :p

and i also have another book i want to buy too! the Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle but was too late as hubby already paid it, so it'll have to wait for next month i guess.

I have a few things I wanted to make from this book such as christmas tree ornaments and the lovely stockings, i think those are going to be my next projects, I just need the fabrics to make them. Here are some of the pages i snapped while browsing quickly before posting this :)

I'm doing as fast as i can to finish my other projects before starting my Christmas projects, managed to finish this cute cross stitch card from a free kit i got when i bought a cross stitcher magazine many months back.

Take away and a Movie

Since hubby's toe is still paining him, the doc said to bathe it with TCP and ointment cream so we decided to stay indoor, the long walk at the museum the other day was making it worst (poor thing). besides, the weather wasn't exactly nice anyway yesterday. We ordered a chinese food take away and watched Harry Potter and the deathly hallows on cable pay per view :)

I did abit of craft with the free kit from the stiching magazine that i bought awhile back, a pin cushion.

and just browsing a new Cath Kidston Catalogue that arrived on the doorstep, drooling at everything in the catalogue.

seems like sunday is going to be bright, we're going to hubby's parents house for abit, then take a walk down town and lunch. Have a blessed Sunday! :)

Happy Pink Saturday!

Yay! Weekend's here, though we've had lots of sunshine this week but i'm afraid it'll be pouring down with rain tomorrow (says the weather forecast) til monday, but saturday seems promising, hubby and I are going to have a lil BBQ later, hopefully but if it rains, then we'll just have to use the grill in the oven to cook our marinated meals :P

My Pink Saturday submission for today are some fabrics i have left and thought to take a shot of them before they ran out of being used for my craft projects etc.

I can't wait when i get a sewing machine for my birthday so i can order more fabrics!I think i've mentioned to hubby alot how excited i am to have a sewing machine and i shouldn't as he might get annoyed and decided to give me something else haha.

This Mirror pouch stitch kit is a free gift from a "Cross Stitch" magazine some months ago that i just finished making, the birds are just too cute. That's all from me, must go get ready to prepare the BBQ now, Have a Great Weekend all!

Cross Stitched Butterfly

Not much going on recently other than spending alot of time trying not to kill another plant and doing houschores *boring*, but finally it's hubby's pay day and as a good wife, i'll be spending his money to order some craft supplies soon *cheeky grin* but no worries, I know my limit as charity shopping is long overdue and i'll be gallivanting from one charity shop to another pretty soon looking for treasures for me and for my swap partner :)

Another free kit that i finally got a chance to make in one evening is this Butterfly cross stitch in a cute little frame from Cross Stitching magazine.

I still have 2 or 3 more free kits that i got from the magazines awhile back, I keep delaying doing them but it comes in handy now when i dont have anything else to make. I'm also waiting for my free gift from Wholeport as they're having a creativity expo and we can request one item from them free of charge, click the link for more info as there's still time if you want to join them for their Create-a-thon contest with the item you requested to be sent to you :)

That's it for now and i'll leave you with a photo of my wall of mini frames :)

Cross Stitch Tea

My daily ritual consists of; (after hubby goes to work at 7am), a visit to the bathroom, coffee, online job hunting, b'fast with toasts and jam, another coffee while watching the news, abit of housechores, get online till lunch time, fix a quick lunch mostly sandwich though, watch abit of tv, put the kettle on for tea...and do whatever else that i'm in the mood to do, this time a cross stich teacup and pot from a "Cross Stitcher" magazine :)

I felt like using my big mug from Cath Kidston as i dont have to pour another tea so soon while doing my cross stitch and i'm a messy person in pouring tea, hubby does a more good job in that area :) Raspberry cake slices accompanied my tea though i dont make them, It's from Bakewell that we bought at Sainsburys.

I finally managed to post these photos that I took when hubby and I went for a walk in town a few weeks ago, lonely benches as I called them, beautiful but very lonely a I dont often see them being occupied by people so I sat in one that located in one of the garden in worthing.

Royal Wedding Frenzy

I'm so excited to watch the royal wedding tomorrow on BBC, was offered to record it by hubby if we happened to wake up late but no, not me! I'll be sure to tune in at 9ish, already bought a biscuit tin from McVities at sainsburys with William and Kate on it too! Will munch those while watching.

I did get invited...by hubby's parents to watch it together at their house but hubby declined as he's not feeling too well, however I got a surprise in the mail today, a commemorative royal wedding tea for one from my mother in law (bless her!), now i can munch the royal biscuit with the royal teacup/pot :)

It's quite cute actually, again...with William and Kate's picture on it :)

I was going to post this in the afternoon but i was doing my cross stitch and boy I have never moved soo fast to finish it and finally it's done and right on time! so glad i got a frame that was a perfect fit for it. I ran out the right color of yarns for it so i just used whatever i have, not too happy with the colors though!

Right! gotta get some sleep now, let's gossip again after the wedding :p

Late Mother's Day Gift

I finally finished the cross stitch pillow cushion from one of the Cath Kidston's book for my mother in law that i supposed to give it to her on Mother's day but sadly i didn't finish it on time, after some long tiring months with lots of distractions and other things to make, i finally finished it and yesterday I was able to give it to her, thank god she loves it!

After we spent a few hours at hubby's parents, we took a walk to the park and on the beach, i must say i took loads of pics coz the park is so beautiful with blooming flowers, but i wont post all of the pics in this entry :)

These were taken at Denton Gardens, one of the park in my town near the beach, Lovely isn't it? I'll be posting more pics in other posts.

Spray Flowers Cushion

After a month long of embroidering and lots of cup of tea, I finally finished the cushion cover of "Spray Flowers" from Cath Kidston's book. It's supposed to have lace edgings but since I haven't been visiting my favorite harbedashery in town, it'll have to do and it's still look cute, Yay me!

Flower Purse

I braved myself to do cross stitch to make this beautiful flower purse from the book "Stitch" by Cath Kidston that I got as christmas gift, it turned out good though I really wish I had a sewing machine to make my life abit easier to sew the edges of the purse :)
