Surprises and a Crush..

I received a lovely parcel yesterday from Magie at TeacupsandBunting along with a lovely card from Jem at BeautifulClutter, I really am touched and so happy to receive them, Thank you!

Magie sent me a cute heart shaped cushion hanger with super cute bunting card. i love the lip gloss she gave too, the color is just perfect and the crocheted flower is so fun and bright, thank you Magie! The parcel is beautifully wrapped and i just love the doodle she made, she's just so creative.

Jem sent me a beautiful Tea Time card from Wedgwood, it's so beautiful and I'm so touched reading what she wrote to me, i really thank you so much!

As i was re-organizing my stuff, I have this bundle of scrap fabrics that are too small to use them as small projects and don't have the heart to throw them either as i might have an idea on how to use them on something which i did, I have some unused picture frame that i got from charity shop a long time ago, so I just sort of decoupage the scrap of fabrics onto the frame and layer them.

I think i like the result and it is now has its uses to display the lovely cards i got from my friends :) I feel a crush coming on and i really want to make more and perhaps use the much more smaller scraps for a different project as i still have alot more of scrap fabrics lying around...

Catching up...

I found a parcel at my doorstep yesterday sent by my lovely blogger friend Bee Happy, it was a lovely surprise and I wanted to thank you so much for the birthday gifts you sent.

Loving the 3 spools of cute ribbons she sent, a cute metal sign, lovely Heart shaped hanger made of fabric that she screen printed (i gotta learn that!), handmade cute keyring from ribbons and a sweet birthday card, Thank you Bee! x

I know it's kinda late but I didn't have time to take a pic and post it before i left to Indonesia but my dear friend Marianne also sent me a parcel full of pretty things for me.

I'm enjoying flipping through each page of the Tea Time Treats she sent me along with the heart shaped cookie cutters (definitely going to use it soon), a gorgeous red nail polish, lovely selection of ribbons, a sweet notebook that i brought with me to Indonesia to write little notes about my journey and floral scented soap that smells heavenly. She even wrote me a lovely letter on a paper that she designed herself...cute cherries! Thank you Marianne! x

I also won a giveaway before I went for a holiday from MellyBee, I was so happy to have won Jubilee items from her such as Jubilee greeting cards and postcards, some cute badges and lovely tea towel that she made herself. I'm so lucky!

..and last but not least, I wanted to share photos of the Jubilee swap that i sent to and received from Hannah that I joined over Faith Hope & Charity Shopping, this too..im sorry to say I took the pic from my camera phone and it's not a good camera and posted it in Instagram, so i'm sorry it's abit blurry but I would like to say thank you to Lakota for hosting the event and to Hannah for the lovely swap gifts she sent.

if you want more clearer photos, click her link on her name above to see what she has sent me, I love the jubilee bunting that she made, the pomander is a pretty addition, a Jubilee tea and.......a sedum cutting (also known as 'Ice Plant) that she grown herself in her garden which is a direct descendent of a plant which is growing in one of the Queen's gardens i'm told, complete with a note on how to care for it coz i dont have green thumbs....but Lo and behold! it's not dead yet although i left it for more than 10 weeks but it has now pink flowers on it though it doesnt look that good but i do hope I don't kill it! hehe Thank you so much! please forgive me if i killed it in near future (fingers crossed i wont!)

Afternoon Tea Swap

I joined the Afternoon Tea Swap over at Pretty Little Jewel and i'm so lucky to be partnered with her, I'm so sorry that I sent my parcel very late as I was sick and couldn't post the parcel on time.

I was so excited despite my high temperature with a fever and was lying on the bed helplessly when hubby told me that He found a parcel on the door for me, I had to wait till the fever's gone then i opened the beautifully wrapped gifts she sent me, Thank you Julie! so here are what she sent to me;

She sent me; A lovely teacup but sadly the saucer was already broken when i opened it but i love it nonetheless, a beautiful victoria sponge cake recipe handmade by her, a delicious smell of Danish tea called Kaerlighedste Love Tea, can't wait to try it! she also sent me a chinese tea in a cute tin, a yummylicious homemade strawberry jam made by her which i've tasted it and love it! she also gave me a handmade necklace with a cute teapot pendant and a cute tea house stickers. Thank you so much and I do love the cute card too!

...and here are the gifts I sent to her, I wanted to apologize first as I didn't have time to make a craft item :)

I sent her; a set of English Breakfast Tea in mini tins, a Cath Kidston's Tea Mug, Tea Party Fridge Magnets, Handmade crocheted Cupcake and handmade Teapot cushion hanger and Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Lemon Shortbreads to accompany drinking tea. I do hope you'll like them :)

Few more gifts and a Cat

I received these sweet gifts from my gorgeous blogging friend Scarlett in the post yesterday! Thank you for the cute fan Japanese pocket mirror with the doll and the cupcakes 2012 diary!

I also received christmas gifts from my friends here;

The amount of chocolates i got from family and friends and not to mention some that i bought myself are just crazy! I'm a chocoholic and have been stuffing myself with them and yes..i'm feeling so guilty coz I know now i gain more weight and i have no idea if i manage to lose weight as i've failed in past years!

Loving the Christmas Cookie Jar I got as well from my friend, it'll be handy for next christmas :) and last but not least, i got this super handy traveling mirror from my friend that also contain mini lipstick attached on the handle, blusher and powder on each side of the mirror :)

so, that's it from me and i'll be blog hopping after this but before i go, i want to show you a picture of my gorgeous cat :) it's her first 2012 snapshot haha.

Back to NormaliTea

Storm is brewing outside, not a good start of 2012 but then again Chinese New Year is coming up and the Chinese considered rain on the New Year as a sign of good luck :) Hubby's back to work and already had his first complaint in the new year on how hard to drive to work in this storm. ( I just hope the back garden's fence wont fall again!)

My Tea Time contribution is just some pics that I took on Christmas and New Year's Day. I baked the Yule Log for Christmas so i guess this is as good time as any to just show it to you :)

The good thing about making yule log for the first time was that i can cover all the imperfections and cracks of the cake when trying to fold it with the chocolate cream :) it's all gone now but rest assured it was eaten while drinking TEA! :)

I took down the Christmas Tree and Decorations on Sunday, abit sad that Christmas is over and we're back to our routine although I'm so happy to have received more gifts than I expected as hubby surprised me with a new mobile phone to replace my old almost broken phone, Thank you soo much! now i can twitter away like a twit (his words). :P

He even spoilt me with a few books on my amazon wishlist, i'll do a separate post on that once i read them! I also received some wonderful gifts from my friends and family and they got my hint when i mentioned I love Cath Kidston!

Double oven gloves and the melamine bowls are CK and the cute strawberry apron from BHs, thanks to the in-laws! I'm thinking to do blue and red color theme in 2012..maybe also for next christmas, we'll see ;)

I also got a few pairs of knee length socks and few other things that I'll post in separate posts once i take pics of 'em. Meanwhile i have a long list of things i have to do today; back to job hunting, set up an online shop on folksy but before that..i need to prepare my stocks which means back to crafting! OH i'm soo hoping 2012 will be a great year for all of us! Amen!

The lovely Bee Happy spoilt me rotten with these gifts, i'm so speechless.

"Twelve days of christmas" book that i can't wait to read and love the cover, a handmade cute heart cushion hanger with little bell on it, an adorable handmade flower made of fabrics brooch, a metal "Cafe" sign, a lovely bracelet and a pretty in pink polkadot pencil case and they're handmade by you too!. I can't thank you enough!

I'm also blessed to have met Brenda in blog land and so touched that she sent me these wonderful christmas gifts all the way from the USA. The christmas card is so special coz it's drawn by her sweet and talented granddaughter. I love the beautiful floral wrap she sent and as soon as i finished taking pics, i've tried one of tea bags you sent and will enjoy the assorted chocs and jelly beans soon!

Thank you soo much Ladies for making my Christmas more special and I can't thank you enough, I hope everyone had a lovely filled with joy christmas!

Faith Hope and Charity Shopping Christmas Swap

I was torn to open the gifts from my swap partner An Alien World sent me before christmas, the tempation to unwrap those gifts were so great but being so busy preparing christmas meal helped and just like a child, i did the unwrapping at 7am on Christmas day! Here are the lovely things she sent me;

She sent me a beautiful "Homemade Gifts Vintage Style" book which i did a quick peek inside the book for photo purposes and already loving it! can't wait to sit back, have a cup of tea and read it properly.

totally love the pics inside the book and already cant wait to make something from the tutorials inside :)

next, she sent me this totally adorable compact powder....sweet and oh so romantic!

and last but not least, a beautiful embroidered reindeer heart shaped decoration, it's still on my christmas tree! I love it!

Thank you soo much Alice for the gifts, i adore them and i also adore your cute handmade card, love the cute tea pot and cups in there, just lovely! it's been so much fun doing the swap, I want to thank Lakota at Faith Hope and Charity Shopping for hosting the Christmas swap, i can't wait to join again next time!

Let it Snow..

I don't know if we who live in the south will ever get snow this year or not but i do hope we do get snow though i know hubby prays the opposite! anyways, remember the crocheted snowflakes i did awhile back? I finally had time to finish it (about 40pieces) and hang them up on the window.

Our Tv has decided to go weird on us these couple of days, hubby is worried that it might stopped working anytime soon considering it's already 8 years old so he decided to order a new one via amazon and told me that it'll be our christmas gift..(what?)

But i do hope he got my hints to check my books' wishlist in his amazon account and at least buy me something from the wishlist! :P

I'm going to try making a few things from Tilda's Christmas Ideas book that i bought awhile back. Will keep you posted when i succeeded :P

Overjoyed :)

My trip to London to meet a friend last saturday was successful and will do a separate post about it once my friend has uploaded the pics and share them with me as i had to use her big camera to take pics of her/for her. I spent my sunday relaxing as my feet were killing me after a whole day of walking around London and spent it drinking an awful lot of tea and wrote christmas cards that I posted on Monday. Yay! one job done :)

I came home from the post office yesterday to find two parcels on my doorstep, the sweet and lovely Bee Happy sent me not 1, not 2 but 6 beautifully wrapped christmas gifts to be opened on christmas day (Awww I can't wait!), and my Faithhopeandharityshopping Christmas Swap partner an alien world's package has arrived too, I can't wait to open all these beautifully wrapped gifts soon!Right now I've put all the gifts under my little christmas tree! I will do separate posts once i opened them :) Thank You Ladies, I'm overjoyed, over the moon!

on another note, I finished all items that i made for the craft fayre that i will be going this saturday (I can breathe now!). These christmas tree ornaments from felts are the last items i made using the tutorial from Mollie Makes Christmas issue, I bought the little christmas tree from sainsburys which i might take with me to the fayre, all i need to think about now is the bits and pieces to take with me such as paper bags and if i should bring my own tablecloth and how to display my items, but i'm glad now things are coming along together and can move on to do something else that i love, decorating the house!
