..but i sure wanted to get started making things for christmas right away! I ordered this book a few days ago via Amazon and it arrived today! I love all of Tilda's fabrics and i sure need some inspiration on what to make for christmas so when hubby ordered his cartridges for the printer, I told him to add this book to the shopping cart too :p
and i also have another book i want to buy too! the Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle but was too late as hubby already paid it, so it'll have to wait for next month i guess.
I have a few things I wanted to make from this book such as christmas tree ornaments and the lovely stockings, i think those are going to be my next projects, I just need the fabrics to make them. Here are some of the pages i snapped while browsing quickly before posting this :)
I'm doing as fast as i can to finish my other projects before starting my Christmas projects, managed to finish this cute cross stitch card from a free kit i got when i bought a cross stitcher magazine many months back.
Susan you are so organised! The book looks lovely and cant wait to see what you make. I dont start thinking about christmas until after my birthday in November - i then have a massive rush to get it all done ;o)

Susan the books are wonderful, and I like especially that you placed your homemade hearts on the cover of Tilda's book...they look like they are part of the cover and fit right in.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see all the lovelies you are going to make. I would love to have the time to do some crafty projects. I want to order something from your shop at some point. I'm waiting for my paypal account to increase. Hee, hee.
A cross stitch card! What a delightful idea!
Blessings,
Marianne
Susan, you always have so much motivation and energy to finish your projects - it always leaves me inspired!! I have the Tilda 'Summer Ideas' book and really liked it - so glad you shared the inside of the 'Christmas Ideas' one as I was to-ing and fro-ing over whether to buy it and now I'm sure I'd like it! :-)
ReplyDeleteI tend to get my birthday in October out of the way, then Bonfire Night (I love Bonfire night more than any 25 year old girl should!) and then I start the Christmas prep. Very excited about this year! Can't wait to see what you whip up!

As I am looking through your post, I start getting this cheery feeling! Christmas is my favorite time of year and I haven't even had time to think about it. Now is the time to set aside time to get THINGS READY! What a delightful book you have chosen and I know that you will make some wonderful things! I can't wait to see them.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you always,
Brenda
I love craft books, and I love Christmas so it's a win-win situation! I just won a lovely Country Living Christmas ideas book from Annie at the Felt Fairy so I'm planning to settle down with that soon.
ReplyDeleteI've started on my Christmas decorations already - is it too soon for a post? You know I don't do that many tutorials but I'm quite pleased with these!

ReplyDeleteI have already started making pom pom garland for my Christmas tree this year..thought best start it early, so I give myself enough time to finish it.

That looks like a fun book, I love those angels..are you going to make one? Your cross stitch is so cute! I'm busy working on one that I hope to finish by Xmas for my MIL:)
ReplyDeleteI have both of these books and I love them so much!!!! can't wait to see your makes for Christmas, after all the decorating and some left to do I seem to have lost my crafting flow and need some inspiration :)
