Where have all the Laundry Pegs Gone?

That's what hubby asked when we went to sainsburys for grocery shopping and I picked up another packet of wooden pegs, I just answered that I used the old pegs for my craft projects and I'm not too happy about the result so i'm gonna need more to do it again. He shook his head.

I bought another magnetic sheet, this time is abit thicker and it's still in A4 size. I cut them in small sizes to fit the back of the pegs and glued them and tried them on the fridge, it holds okay.

I'm still new in doing decoupage, seems like I'm not happy with the result but it's okay, i'll keep trying till im satisfied, I got another packet of pegs that ready to be used :)

Sharing a Cuppa

I've been striked by a disease called Super Laziness Syndrome and have been slow to wake up in the morning, after i dragged my feet to prepare hubby's lunch box and he went to work, i put the kettle on, took my "Tea For One" teaset and went back to my bedroom, but as soon as I lie down on the bed, I just remembered that today I got two things that I have to do! first, I need to take pics for "Tea Time Tuesday" post and secondly (I'm dreading this), I had to go back to my local charity shop to pick up a chair for my decoupage project which I have to carry it and walk back with the chair in hand coz I cant drive nor do i own a car even if I could drive as hubby drives it to work :)

But first thing first, embarassment later. I'm too lazy to set up a tea table or bake a cake to accompany my tea, so today's tea time I'm sharing my cup of tea with my favorite teddy coz He loves me :)

Yep, it's a simple post for Tea Time Tuesday, Tea Time with my Teddy, still in the bedroom and the laptop on the bed uploading this pics :)

The Teddy is my Christmas gift a few years ago from hubby and the Tea for One set is from my friend given to me on my Last year's Birthday. She knows what I love, she even gave me a Tea Birthday Card too!

So, it's almost 9am, better go wash up and do the dreaded task, I hope the road is clear and no one's looking at me carrying the chair which I bought for £5 and I did ask how much if i wanted it delivered at my doorstep and the lady at the till said it costs £8!!!! Hence, my decision to carry it myself! I didn't do it yesterday coz I have bought several things at the other charity shop that i had no free hands :)

Faux Vintage Jars

I've been drooling over Vintage Mason Jars and Apothecary Jars for awhile now ever since I've seen them in many of my friends' blogs and I havent been lucky enough to find those in my local charity shops, so I was browsing people's blogs and lucky to find some tutorials on how to make faux Vintage Jars and it's quite simple too!

1. I have quite a few of empty used jars from Pickled Onion, Olives, Tomato Chutney etc that I'm glad that I dont throw them away for recycle.

2. Clean them up and peel off the label from them, I soaked them in a hot water, once cleaned and dry, it's ready for painting.

3. I use 2 tsp of Mod Podge, half tsp of water and 4-5 drops of food coloring, i chose blue color for the coloring, if you want turquoise color, add one drop of green. you can experiment with the color, depends on what you want, if you want darker shade you can add more drops of food coloring. mix all these together with a brush.

4. Brush the jar however you want as long as it's cover the outer part, once dried, it'll be clear.

5. The problem with this project is that it can be easily washed off by water, so I wont wash the jars forever :) so its purpose only to be a storage jar and if I had to use it as a flower vase, I had to be careful in pouring the water inside as to not spilt to the outer side.

6. The result is quite satisfying :)

I will experiment more on this and I'll be putting some trinkets and bits and bobs in those jars later :)

Happy Pink Saturday!

The weather has been really nice these couple of days that I spent alot of time at the backyard, playing with the cat or do some painting and photography, I also went out to Brantano yesterday and treated myself with a new sandal for the summer :)

and yep, it's got pink on it so it's perfect for my Pink Saturday Post! I also saw this pink van parked near the shoes shop that we went to and just had to snap a photo of it.

I'm smiling reading the slogan underneath which was sadly not shown fully in the pic, it says "Anything your husband Can't or Won't do, We Do!" and thought i'd better save the number coz i know my husband is not really a DIY person! :)

Even so, "Dial a Hubby" can't do one thing (or other sweet things) that my husband Can Do which was buying me this beautiful pink roses. Love the smell and the colors!

I wish everyone a great and wonderful Weekend and Happy Pink Saturday!
