I felt like using my big mug from Cath Kidston as i dont have to pour another tea so soon while doing my cross stitch and i'm a messy person in pouring tea, hubby does a more good job in that area :) Raspberry cake slices accompanied my tea though i dont make them, It's from Bakewell that we bought at Sainsburys.
I finally managed to post these photos that I took when hubby and I went for a walk in town a few weeks ago, lonely benches as I called them, beautiful but very lonely a I dont often see them being occupied by people so I sat in one that located in one of the garden in worthing.
Susan, your daily ritual sounds like a dream to me. Apart from the job hunting - bah! Jobs and job hunting always get in the way of the nicer things!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have the perfect daily routine to me... especially the bit with tea and cakes!

All your photos are darling. I enjoyed them.
ReplyDeleteYour day sounds lovely! aww the lonely benches, you'll have to sit on a different one each time you visit so they dont feel left out ;o) Love your x-stitch, got to get back into doing mine. Scarlett x
ReplyDeleteWow Susan, your day is a lot like mine now that my boys are grown up and so independent. The only one who's still in school goes to school by his dads house so I don't have any driving duties anymore. I do 45 minutes of cardio workout and walk with a friend for an hour though but that's something I just started doing since New Years (finally back to the weight I was when I met my hubby, woooohooooo!). And I must confess, I gave up the online job hunting...my ego couldn't take all the rejection anymore!
ReplyDeleteI love your cross stitched teacups, so pretty!!!
I love to embroider, specially cross stich and I'm most specially adore embroidered tablecloths...your tea cups looks lovely. I'm also alone since my two daughters left home, one married and the other independant...so now I go to spinning classes at my local Gym and I just love it, my body's gotten so much stronger, legs, arms and stomach, I need to go on a diet and lose 10 lbs. and I'll be just how I like it! I enjoyed your post. I'm here at the Tea Party too.

So glad your day is full of time for you! Lovely cross-stitch.An extra soothing tea in your Cath Kidston mug..just adorable!
ReplyDeleteHi lovely!
ReplyDeleteSorry I've been absent the past couple of weeks, I think I got into a big rut and felt totally unblogworthy and uninspired, so I'm really enjoying catching up with your blog as I've missed reading your posts :-) The cross stitch is fabulous, it will look so cute in a little frame. Your daily routine is really similar to mine; lots of tea and online job hunting! I have a part time job at a cafe but need something with more hours :-)

The Cath Kidston mug is so pretty, and saves on washing up too!
ReplyDeleteYour lonely bench mosaic is very interesting, I like the effects you used.

That is the cutest cross stich ever!
ReplyDeleteHello, i am new to your blog. It is gorgeous xx
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get your cross stitch pattern? It is so cute and sweet. I just love Bakewells for they are delicious. We purchased some from Sainsbury while in England. Later, I found them at a British shop here.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to spend the day! I am going through a crazy time right now, never time to look at enough blogs or drink enough tea!
