TOP 10 Tagged - Beauty Products I can't do Without.
I've been tagged by the lovely Lakota at Faith Hope and Charity Shopping along with this Top 10 Award which requires you to list your Top 10 Beauty products, Here are my lists of 10 beauty products I'm using;
I'm not sure if I can Grow Old Gracefully, I spent my younger days without wearing make up other than a lip gloss but now I'm over 30, I notice lots of unwanted changes on my face and body, so with a heavy heart I have to spare some budget for beauty products that I dont even know what's it for or how to apply it on and i have to say that I sometimes can be a victim of beauty adverts and bought their products and discard them after awhile coz it gives more damage than good on my face until I found the Correct product from The Body Shop, I started the day with this moisturiser cream, that's the only thing i'm using everyday if there's no important events to go to. I almost discarded it at first as it gave me itchiness for the first few days I applied on my face.
I have a very long and easily tangled hair, and i used to try many shampoo brands as well as I am easily disappointed with the results of each products, when i used Pantene, it gave me dandruff then i changed to Dove but i noticed that i had a few grey hairs (i know it sounds silly) so i changed to few other things as well as Baby Shampoo but nothing works better than this Organic Little Me shampoo, I was told by a friend that it doesn't contain SLS which commonly used in shampoos, soaps, detergents and toothpastes as a "foam-up" agent and it can be harmful but hey it's a bonus for me as i didnt know it before and I don't care less as long as my hair is happy with the shampoo i'm using as I tend to wash it everyday :)
I absolutely crazy about fruity smell, this Bubble Licious bath and shower gel makes me want to stay in the bath tub longer, with a sprinkle of sea salt and a dash of stress relief radox are a perfect combination.
Old habits die hard, i still keep to wearing lip glosses, especially when you're a smoker like me, dry lips is just not good, i always bring it everywhere, I can't live without it! :)
This is also a must-have for me, i have so many imperfections in my body from dry skin to prone of accidents resulting scars and stretch marks (though im abit offended when someone asked how many children i gave birth to for having so many stretch marks) truly...i haven't even gave birth to ONE yet!
My day ended with these two products, after cleaning up my face with SIMPLE exfoliating facial wipes or just wash my face with water, i applied this Q10 Anti wrinkle night cream with the Eye Cream, it's actually two for the price of One which is affordable. I do appreciate if anyone know the best product to get rid bags under my eyes, it's a gift from those late nights and lack of sleep days!
Next 5 products are those that I dont normally wear on daily basis, only when I have some events such as dinner parties, birthdays etc.
We all want to smell good, don't we? I love the smell and the bottle is so cute, Bonus! but i actually love bubble gum smell and wanting to find perfume with that kind of smell, maybe you guys can tell me?
Sometimes i find it abit tricky to find a foundation that matches your darker skin, i don't want it to look like a clown and keep it natural, the Bourjois foundation is great to use in the day, i do like to look fresh even after a night out. I use Clinique Dewy smooth foundation for night out.
Blushcreme from Mac with Lilicent Color, My favorite!
YSL Touche Eclat is handy when you want to hide those dark circle under my eyes, can't do anything about the bags under my eyes though, i wish they'd disappear! and number 10 beauty product i'm using is;
Pixi Brightening primer that i use before applying foundation or is it after? i still dont know and i lost the magazine that gave you a step by step on how to create a shiny and glowing summer look with this haha, i only used it once and im not sure i did it correctly coz it doesnt give the effect i'm looking for which is fresh looking but rather like your face is full of sweat!!
Sorry for the long post! and here are 10 people I want to have a nosey on of their beauty products! It's okay if you don't want to play the game or tag other 10 people, no pressure and just have fun!

ReplyDeleteohh Fun Fun! I must admit I love seeing what other people use for their products..and what they think of them.
ReplyDeleteI like the Organic Shampoo..I struggle finding a good one really. I will have to keep an eye out for that one :)
I also like the sound of the apple watermelon bubble bath! I love soaking in the tub, I find I like to mix up my bubble baths..tend to get bored of having the same one all the time..so next time I need a new bottle, I will look out for this one.
The perfume bottle is cute, I love the little bow on it :) I would sooo buy a bubble gum smelling perfume as well!
Great products, thanks for sharing!
I will try and post my top 10 as well when I get the chance... :)
Makeup is so much fun! When I can afford a face cream I love to get Origin's Perfect World...the smell is wonderfully fresh and I love the way it makes my skin look dewy. Lately the store where I work has lots of $2.00 Off or $3.00 Off on Revlon products, so I've been collecting lipsticks. I like that they don't have fragrance and taste.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing all your delights!
Have a gloriously happy day,
Marianne
Touche Eclat! Of course, I forgot that, use it all the time. I like the sound of your shampoo, maybe I will have to ditch the Johnson's baby and give it a try?
ReplyDeleteAwe thank you so much for the award! I can't wait to blog about it! We have one thing in common - touche eclat! Isn't it great! xx
ReplyDeleteThis was a fun post to read, Susan! I always read the beauty articles in magazines. You can get confused with all the conflicting ideas/advice. I will say, though, that a very important beauty tool is sunscreen. Especially for a gardener like me who spends a lot of time in the sun. But I do put sunscreen under my makeup every morning; even sitting by a window gives me sun exposure. Have a wonderful wknd, Susan!

Really the only thing for bags under the eyes is sleep. Lack of sleep,crying, and sometimes sinus allergies are, in my opinion, the three major causes of under eye bags.
ReplyDeleteI've been taking magnesium which has been helping me sleep better. There is capsule supplement form, or even better, ionic fizz magnesium which is taken in a glass of water..they go into your system faster and can be taken about an hour before bedtime (I wouldn't take it later than an hour before bed because you'll just have to get up to go to the bathroom).
Magnesium helps with relaxing the mind and muscles, and overall calmness. A lack of magnesium can cause an array of problems, and insomnia or lack of good sleep is one. I noticed after about three days of taking it, I was going to sleep faster, staying asleep longer, and if I wake up in the middle of the night, even several times, I go back to sleep faster.
Also, you can't beat going to bed earlier every night. Each hour you sleep before midnight is worth 2 hours of sleep after midnight. So winding down earlier and getting to bed earlier helps.
For crying (just in case you've been doing that), cool clothes on the eyes or cold cucumber slices can help.
I hope this helps a bit. Take care, and sleep well,
Marianne
Thank you for tagging me! I'll have fun putting this post together!
