This Koala stuffed toy belongs to my husband when he was a toddler, clearly loved from the almost balding body it has, he told me that when he was a child, his dad was rarely at home coz he's working in a merchant ship and he sent this koala from Canada.
And also this vintage toy car is still in its box was given by his father too, I haven't got time to open all of the boxes but it should be fun when I have the time to sort the contents out.
But i took a peek at one other box but i think most of them are books and more books, so i'll post again about this when i found something else interesting :)
and OH! I would like to wish my blogging friend Bee Happy a Happy Birthday and Happy Blogaversary! she's having a giveaway on her blog to celebrate, do check it out!
That koala looks it has been very loved. I think most of us had at least one favourite childhood toy that now looks a bit worn, from all the playing and cuddles :) The Koala sure is cute though. All the way from Canada as well..have you noticed he has an accent or the odd craving for maple syrup :P
ReplyDeleteAw, sweet little bald koala. You wait til you open the rest and discover 12 years worth of train magazines or similar...;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to have a peak in boxes, you never know what you will find! glad you have managed to sort the room out :) bet you will be needing a sit down and a mince pie ;) lol
ReplyDeleteBee happy x
Have a delicious day!
Oh how fun Susan! It sounds like it'll be quite the treasure hunt going through all that stuff. My in-laws have a lot of my husbands stuff stored also and my MIL is always asking if I want to take any of it...I tell her NOOOO!!!! She has way more storage space than I do!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to see your husband's childhood memories. I'm glad you've got things under control. Yes, through a blanket over it all, put a lamp on top and call it a day - hee, hee...
ReplyDeleteNow you can put up your feet and have a cup!

I meant to say how cute the koala was, and that it looks like your hubby had a lot of love to give. Sweet...
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I meant to say 'throw' a blanket. My mind is going a mile a minute - maybe I need that cup of tea - or better yet, a walk...col..
I hope you have a wonderful time when your friend comes to stay! :-)

ReplyDeleteAh!! Treasures from ones past...THAT is so great! I love the little koala. I bet it brought back great memories for your hubby. I don't know if I would take the toys out of the boxes. They are now quite a collectors item.
ReplyDeleteGlad your room situation is now under control. Sounds like things are moving right along.
Happy birthday to your blog friend, Miss Bee.
You are a delight, Susan. I enjoyed visiting you today. Have a great day!
