Mini Apron

..a friend of mine offered me to join her charity craft fair event in december as she's one of the committee member of the event. I've never done this and part of me is excited and wanted to participate but part of me is kinda scared. I am not a well organized kind of person and i don't know if I had enough time to make things to sell, I'm not worried about the booking fee as it's reasonable and besides if i didn't sell anything, it's for a good cause anyway but i'm worried about what to sell and how to organize things.

Anyways, she gave me few tips about what to sell and the price range, she even gave me an idea what to sell, one of them is this mini bottle apron.

I made one for sample and if i decided to join the craft fair, then I'll have to make more, truthfully i still dont know if i should go or not but i'll have to inform her by this week. I already have some ideas what i'm going to make and sell and all the goods i'm going to sell would all be under £5. I already have some stocks but i need variety. Oh well....we'll see

so, what do you think? would appreciate any tips and ideas or comments on this if you have any :)

  1. I think prices under £5 are a great idea with Christmas around the corner and people looking for stocking fillers but don't sell yourself short either :-)

The mini apron is very cute! I'm picturing one on my olive oil pourer!

  4. As one who has done lots of these in the past, I would encourage you to do it, Susan.

I agree with the others, that you make delightful items, and they would make great stocking stuffers, or fun gifts for friends, teachers, etc. I love your door stoppers, and clothes pins (perhaps as magnets), etc. The worst that can happen is that you don't sell much, but then you would have more items to put in your shop here or give as gifts - right? (In other words, they would never be wasted).

The best that can happen is that you sell everything you made! Besides it would be a fun day out, and who knows what blessings could come from it. Just keep an open mind and heart.
    Fear not, and believe only.

By the way, the aprons are adorable!!!! Did you use your new sewing machine?

I blowing you over some love and courage,
    Marianne xo

  5. My first craft fair was a little daunting but it is really good so you have to do one! I'm sure you have made or can make loads of little bits and bobs like hearts and book marks for under a fiver :) good luck getting ready for it, have a great weekend Susan.

    Bee happy x
    Have a delicious day!

  7. You should totally do it! You're super talented, and as Marianne says whatever you make would not be wasted and just doing a fayre if you haven't done one before would be a positive thing as it's good experience. I am rooting for you! x (PS the apron is very cute indeed!)

  10. You always make lovely things with a great finish, I'm sure you'd sell plenty. What about some of those painted wooden clothes pegs attached to a little plaque - for displaying children's art work? Do you know the kind of thing I mean?

  11. I agree with everyone else, I think it would be a great idea. You do make some lovely things. I don't know if you were planning on doing the candle teacups or not..but I know that was something I bought last year at a Christmas market (I think they make nice gifts for people to buy, either for themselves or to give to others). Magnets are quite good as well :)
    Love the little apron!
